Hello Sir, I have a whirlpool ADG 4952 M dishwasher. Both sides doorstraps and buckels are broken. I have new ones, the sides are open but I don't know how the buckles have to be installed, because the original ones where completely shattered. Can you show me?
Copy and paste the following into a new browser window.
Download the pdf file and it shows the configuration in the exploded view.

The near circular white piece clips into the chassis on the inside of the leg.

The strap hooks under it onto the hinge and the other end onto the spring.
You then have to stretch the spring up to the hook on the chassis leg.

Hope this helps

Nice but I don't see a link to that PDF

It's that Friday afternoon thing, or my memory.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It shows a little pin or axel where the white buckle in falling in, is that correct. Because that might be missing.

The pin you refer to has no number so it doesn't exist on your machine.

Your strap goes directly onto the hook of the hinge.

I'm not sure what you are referring to as a white buckle.
Is it the part numbered 70?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Well I found out myself. What I was trying to do is to put the white buckle from the other side, The inside and than it does not work. Now it works ever so simple. Waisted 1 1/2 hour to get it right.

I don't understand your post.

I said you fit it from the inside.

You don't fit it from the door side.

and what is the white buckle? I asked earlier and you didn't respond

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The white buckle is part 70, thats the one I fitted from the other side!

OK, that is fitted from the inside of the chassis leg, not the outside, as I posted earlier.
It simply clips in place
Then, the strap runs under it and hooks onto the hinge, as I posted earlier.

I'm still at a loss as to why you said you worked it out for yourself after I told you how it was done.
