We have a belling IDW604 and the error code E4 is showing. Depending on the website you go to this could either mean there is a leak (which there does not appear to be) or there is too much inlet water. Can you advise me please on what I can do if the problem is too much inlet water.
Where did you check for the leak?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It's an integrated dishwasher and was able to look underneath but couldn't see any signs of leakage. Do you recommend I remove the unit and check behind?

No, you shouldn't see water outwith the casing of the machine.

When it leaks, inside, it activates an anti flood device.
This pumps out the water inside and closes the inlet valve.

Unplug the machine.
Look below the door, does your machine have an access panel?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

There appears to be a metal cover with screws either side.

OK, unplug the machine.
Take the panel off, if you can.
Then use a sponge to remove the water in the base.

Once empty, try the machine again.

If it's leaking, it will begin working then fail with E4

If no water in the base, let me know.

Hope this helps
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I followed your instructions; there was water which I managed to clear; I then tried the machine; it started on its cycle but then stopped after 15 seconds. On checking the settings the code E4 did not show this time, however, there was water in the base again

OK, you have a leak.
The machine has to come out and the leak found.

Until it's found and cured, the problem won't be resolved.
