Welcome, my name is ***** ***** I will be helping you with your problem today. If anything isn't clear, please just ask me.

Can you tell me how old the machine is ? Also, does the door lock?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it is 3-4 years old the door was locked when the fault happened but now the red lock symbol flashes when the door is closed. i have turned the power offf at the wall then on again but the padlock symbol flashes dispite slamming the door shut

.Hi Hazel

The fault code F06 is actually not listed at Indesit. This would generally mean a problem with the controller itself.

Unfortunately there is no easy way for the home owner to test this circuit board due to its complex electronics.

Because the door lock lamp is flashing, this may be a bad door lock, but it would normally give a different error code in that case.

I think you have two choices. You could try changing the door lock yourself as its fairly inexpensive and easy to do. or you may prefer to get a fixed price repair for the quote. This would include the call out, all labour, all parts and the vat.

If youd like a quote or link to the door lock, please let me have yor postcode and Ill check for you
