Error code E90 is a communications error.

What happens when you try using the machine?
Can you post the product number (PNC) from the label in the door recess?
It begins with 9 so you need to prefix it with A so it's not crossed out when posted.

eg A914419941 00

Does your machine have a rotary dial or only buttons?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

When you try to use machine nothing happens.

PNC A914530223 00 S/N 029 00201

Rotary dial

OK, thanks for that.

Turn the machine on, any program.
Close the door.

Press and hold together the start button and the button to the left of it.
Does it give you a different code?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes 91

Thanks for that.

How old is your machine?
It's reporting a faulty main board and/or faulty display board.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Unable to answer question about age but must be older than 3 yrs.

OK, thanks for that.

There's the display board in the facia and the main board at the top rear.
Joining them are thin wires.

Unplug the appliance.
Take it out.
Take the top off.
Find the wires joining the boards.
Unplug them and plug them back on several times at each end.
Ensure the wiring is ok too.

Plug the machine in and try again.

Do you still get E90?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Exactly the same. I will have to suspend this soon as I'm in the process of packing up in order to move. Move will take place tomorrow. I was just trying to do some washing prior to the move.

OK, thanks for that.

Unfortunately, you are going to need to replace 1 or both boards in the machine to get it working again.

The most common board to fail is the main board at the top rear.

Sorry, it's going to be an expensive repair as the boards are not cheap.

Once you replace them, your machine should work again, if there are no further underlying faults.

Good luck with the move.
