Indesit Dishwasher Door wont close???

Indesit Dishwasher Door won't close???
Ask Your Own Appliance Question
What happens when you try closing it?
Does it stop where the latch is entering the slot in the door?
Can you post the model number of the machine?

Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

The model no is125 s uk

It doesn't get as far as the latch. It feels as if their is something stopping the door from getting as far as the latch.

OK, thanks for that.

Take the baskets out.
Does it now close?

If not, fully open the door.
Does it go below 90 degrees to the appliance?

Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

Bingo!!! The door closes when baskets are removed. However, I had checked the baskets were in correctly???

OK, thanks for that.
Refit the bottom basket and try the door.
If it closes, refit the top basket.
Check the feed pipe attached to the underside of the top basket is plugging into the hole in the rear wall and not jamming on the side.

If the pipe has snapped off the basket and is loose, you need to obtain and fit a new one (or repair the existing).
Once this is done, the door will close properly.

Hope this helped
