How do I check the timing on a singer fortuna sewing machine?

It is a singer futura embroidery sewing machine. The needle broke,I changed the needle but it is hitting something below the bobbin case.the machine is approx three years old.

Hi thank you for that information.are you sure there isn't anything down in that hole , like the needle end or some other piece of debris?
As for setting the timing that would need to be done by a local sewing machine shop because specialized tools and gauges are needed to check and do that. Many Vacuum cleaner repair shops will do sewing machines as well. But I would really check down there, also make sure the needle isn't too long. Also hand turn the crank too see when it hits.
