I have just bought a Whirlpool akp 216/ix and the oven temperature is low. Is there any way of adjusting this.

You cannot adjust the temperature in the oven as its controlled by the thermostat which is factory set.

What is the problem you are having with the oven?

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I find that things are taking much longer to cook than I expect. For instance, a frozen ready meal that should take 40 minutes at 170 actually takes 70 minutes at 175.

I’ve ordered an oven thermometer so that I can check the temperature. I’ll let you know when I have some readings.

No worries that's fine

Is it the fan assist setting you are having trouble with?

If so is the fan at the back running?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi Daniel

The fan is running. I'm cooking in the middle of the oven.

Ok if the fan is running ok but it isn't cooking as it should then its going to be a faulty thermostat.

As you can only replace it as theres no adjustment on there at all you can do. So when you get this fault its just a case of replacing the thermostat im afraid.
