Andrew Smith : Australia and the UK both run on 230V and 50Hz, you may have a faulty adaptor
Andrew Smith : there would not be a problem putting a UK plug on your appliance
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

should i therefor just snip the cord and wire it up accordingly?

Andrew Smith : Yes, that should be ok
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

it was the 7.5 amp that got me thinking i havent heard of that kind of ampage before on a plug

Andrew Smith : i assume it did not have a problem before?
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

not sure as its a golf putting machine that i bought on ebay - i doubt they would sell an item that doesnt work

Andrew Smith : 10a fuse would be ok if you can get one otherwise a 13a
Andrew Smith : the adaptor may not be able to take 7.5A?
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

i just wanted to check i could snip off the aussie 3pin and re wire a uk plug to it without too much fuss

Andrew Smith : it should be fine
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

ok so i should get a 13a plug for it?

Andrew Smith : yes
JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

ok cool

JACUSTOMER-8c0tcstt- :

thansk you very much

Andrew Smith : no problem
