Thats it ive got it now.

What about the temperture inside the fridge and freezer. Does this seem to be riseing up and is the freezer stating to defrost?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

temp in fridge seems ok but freezer seems to defrost at times

Ok when you get the red light flashing on these it means the temperture inside the freezer has dropped below -13 degs.

What you can try here is empty the freezer and from there remove the back panel inside the freezer. From there you will see the evaporator, Check to see if this is blocked up with ice. If so then you need to use a hairdryer and melt the ice in there.
Then retry it and fingers crossed this will sort it.

But if you dont want to go removing the panels then you need to empty the appliance and turn it off and leave the freezer door open for 24 hours. This will allow it to defrost itself and clear the evaporator.

Then see how it goes from there. But if it doesnt work after that or if you remove the panels and theres no ice in there then its a system fault. Either a blockage in there or the compressor is faulty. But for this part you need to get a fridge engineer in as that part isnt a DIY repair im afraid.

But check the above first and fingers crossed its just to much ice on the evaporator and a defrost will cure it.
