I have an Indesit tumble drier IDCA 8350B Today it started

This answer was rated:

I have an Indesit tumble drier IDCA 8350B
Today it started flashing all the lights in a row along the top.
There appears to be no heat to the drier
When I re-set the drier by switching off the power to the machine, it ran for a minute or so and then came up with the lights flashing again.
Could it be the thermostatic control?

How old is your dryer?
And do the light all flash at the same time or do the alternate?
Thank you for your patience!

The dryer is 1 year 5months old

all the lights were flashing along the top row altogether.

I turned it on to make sure which lights were flashing and lo and behold, the dryer is functioning fine.

Presently drying my work clothes!

Could it have been that the dryer was overloaded?

Thanks Dave, this could be a failing motor or a belt I would suspect the the belt or the motor puller on this, easy to change and I will help you do that, also not expensive.
If you will rate my service to you thus far as ok or better, before closing this page, I will be able stick with you until this fixed.
Please note it won't cost you anything more to rate, and it WILL ensure your question won't time out or end unexpectedly, then you can always contact me the very same way at no additional cost;-)
Thank you Dave and have a wonderful day!

That makes sense if it is the belt / pulley as it was a large load and it seems to be going ok now. I will monitor it and see what happens. I can mend it if the pulley / belt needs replacing.

Thankyou for your input. I'll let you know if that is what it was( if it decides to play up again)
