Is it possible to clean the internal water tank of a fridge/freezer and if so how is it done

Im afraid you cannot clean the tank on these as its not a tank as such. The water containor is plastic pipe all coiled up at the back of the fridge at the bottom so you cannot get into it as its just thin pipes.

But why do you want to clean the water tank? As the filter should clean the water as it enters the appliance so you should get any dirty water in there. If this is the case then you can try and replace the filter if it has one and using a jug drawer loads of water out till it goes warm as this will replace the water thats in the water tank with fresh water from your supply.

Sorry its not the news you wanted but you cannot clean the the water tank on these Maytags im afraid.
