This answer was rated:

I cleaned my AEG hob yesterday and now I barely get any flame on all of the 4 burners. How do I increase the gas flow to get the flames back as they were before
Hi I am sorry to hear that, I am Tech Michael

Please be patient as these are technical issues and take some back and forth until we can be sure of all the details.

How old is your hob?
Also did you get a lot of water and soap in the burners?
Thank you for your patience!

I cleaned the top of the hob as usual with a damp cloth and a small amount of kitchen spray. This was yesterday morning. I have dried drying everything again with kitchen paper and cleared the gas orifice with a small needle but am still getting barely any gas flow when I turn the burners on.

Thanks Rose, it sounds like you still have a clog in the orifice hole.
But is this happening with all the burners?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes, all burners.

Hi Rose, this doesn't sound like its your fault.
This sounds like a gas supply issue, if your stoves top will lift up you may be able to see if you somehow got some suds down there, but it really sounds like a failing regulator.
It would be very strange that all burners failed this way.Think abut that, doe it make sense to you?
Thanks Rose.

No, if all have gone then unlikely to be soap/water. looks like my landlord will have to get someone out to have a look. Just to be sure how does the top lift out? Are there any fastenings or does it just need a little bit of force to remove it?

Hi Rose, The lid should just lift up, but some models don't and require screw removal. I don't think this happened for your cleaning, as that would have likely caused one burner to get this way. It sounds like the regulator is failing. Its not an expensive part luckily and easy to replace, but should be done by a Gas tech for safety.
If you wanted to do this I can help but its not advisable unless you have gas piping experience. it sounds like you did all you could to fix this.
Please don’t forget to rate my service before closing this page,

Thank you Rose and have a wonderful day!
