i have a Competence built in double elec. oven which makes a terrible rattling noise when using the main oven. Why is this? The oven is over 20yrs old and still looks as good as new.Is it worth repairing?

Were abouts does the noise seem to be comming from?

Is it inside the oven or towards the top?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I would say towards the top.

Ok it will be the cooling fan thats the problem here as sometimes as these get old the bearing wears inside the motor and then it goes noisy.

To access this you need to pull the oven out and remove the top.

From there you will see the cooling fan on top. You can swap it over from there.

But as its an older model it may be obsolete now. If you post the model number of the oven i can check for you.
