My Siemens XLM 1400 was purchased in July 2005 and is acting eccentrically. Sometimes it wont start; sometimes it wont spin and sometimes we cant open the door. [And sometimes it works okay always on the same setting] I need your advice or direction to an approved service agent in Croydon CR20DU.
It has only ever had light use.
Please help.

Dear *****. ...I have made absolutely sure the door is firmly shut [it does seem secure] and it doesn't appear to need a new interlock.

Now I have set the machine to wash some cottons on 1000 on the spin. I'll see what happens in a couple of hours and report back to you.

I had rather thought it would be something to do with the control switch...can this be located in the wrong place...because it is easily pulled out? Thanks....James

Hi thank you James,
Its not that it gets loose. It has electronics in the lock that reports to the main control panel.
I have replaced so many for this issue lol.
If you have any more trouble please dont hesitate to reply to me;-)
Since this may take a bit of time please rate at this point so we can remain together until we are done.
Thank You
