when I switched on my digibox it behaved quite as normal but my tv is telling me there is no signal, I have had painters in today and they have been working in the area near the tv and may have disrupted a connection.

If your digibox is routed through the VCR but the VCR is not powered-up then this would cause this problem

Try removing the scart from the input to the vcr and place it directly into the tv
