This answer was rated:

we have a Kenwood KDW8ST2A dishwasher which is showing a E4 fault code.
In the manual it say's that this means it is overfilled to much inlet water.
It has been no trouble up to now 6years old.
I run it on E4 so it is fully drained and turned the water supply off but still when I turn it back on it goes to E4 can it be reset? or is it time for a new machine.
Thanks for your help.

Hi yes it is 6 years old.

We found there was a problem when I noticed water on the floor to the right of door.

When I opened the door there was some dirty water at the bottom so I set the machine to P4 to wash a load then E4 came up so I shut the door and it drained then nothing else.

I turned it off then back on again and E4 came up again.

Hi thank you d=for the great description, but does your dishwasher retail water at the end of a drain cycle? Is there any water let in the bottom when the cycle completes?

Although when it ran on E4 it pumped the water out

Thank you,
what you need to do and this is common. Is check under the sink pull the drain line off from the dishwasher and run it into a large pot, also check for any clogs.
If that is the issue great!
Please rate kindly if not, please do not rate yet but reply to me for further instructions:-)
