EDC1072LDW tumble drier, has water catchment below drum. Rear

Customer Question

EDC1072LDW tumble drier, has water catchment below drum. Rear has a pipe with a spring clip plug over what looks like the drain pipe (on our older Whirlpool). I connected this but the catchment tank still fills. The booklet describes a kit but the kit is just a pipe and the kit says only suitable for a catchment tanks at the top of the machine. I'm confussed does this machine allow for plumbed in drainage? Thanks Ian in Iceland

George-Allsorts :

Hello, my name is George

George-Allsorts :

Have you tried removing the internal collection tank?

George-Allsorts :

I cannot read the manual for your machine as it is in Scandinavian

JACUSTOMER-z51owsvm- :

Will this not result in water everywhere or is there a divert valve?

JACUSTOMER-z51owsvm- :

did I miss your reply.

George-Allsorts : As far as I know there is a valve at the rear of the tank that stops the water coming forward if the tank is not in place
