What model number do you have please?

Customer reply replied 3 years ago.

whirlpool ADG7560/1 dishwasher

Turn the dishwasher on and select the rinse cycle first on the left.

Turn the dishwasher off.

Press and hold the start button and turn it back on.

Hold the start button in till the start light is flashing then let go.

Now press the start button once and close the door.

Now it will run a 12 minute test cycle. If it picks up a fault it will stop, drain the water out and beep. Open the door and the start light will be flashing.

But fingers crossed if you have replaced the heater and just want to test it this should be fine.

Won't go into flash mode when I follow your sequence. Does it need a factory reset and if so how is that performed?

No it doesnt need a factory reset as there isnt one.

When you turn it on is the start light lit up?
If so then press and hold it to cancel the cycle out and then try the above and see if it will go into test mode.
