Candy tumbledryer GOC58F.
Fault codes showed thermostat or heater problem.
Have replaced heater unit complete.
Error code 8 still shows.....thermal fuse .
is this separate to the heater unit?
Could there be a control issue?

The thermal limiter is separate to the heater as this is located on the front venting of the dryer.

So to access this you need to remove the front panel and it will be located on the plastic housing which the drum runs round on.

Its a round sensor with 2 wires going to it. You need to test it with a multimeter and it should rear roughly abou 20 Kohms.

But if this is ok and the wiring is as well then its looking like the control board is the fault here im afraid. As to be honest its quite rare these thermal limiters fail but just check it and see what you find.

Hello Tried to rate as Excellent, but it says access to the page is denied.

i have taken out the thermal limiter. My meter shows no reading (reads 1) on the 200 ohm and 2k ohm. on the 20k setting it briefly reads 15.6, then settles back to 1. It shows 22.5 steadily when on the 200k setting.

Can you assist further from this info?

Ok going of them readings limiter is fine as about 22 Kohms is about right for room temperture. As these very rarely fail.

So it is looking like a fault on the control board here im afraid.

So the control board, is simply a matter of unplug cable connectors, refit to new board and fit to machine.

Yes the control board will be a straight swap over and the blocks will just pull off.
