Hi, We have a 2 year old washing machine Indesit IWDC6105.

We have a 2 year old washing machine Indesit IWDC6105. We also put our clothes in the following laundry basket:
Over the past months, our clothes, especially whites, have started to have several orange stains (5 penny coin size) appear on them. Once stained, any washing even with bleach cannot not make the stain disappear.
Do you think this comes from the laundry basket (it has a metal frame so it could be rust) or the washing machine?
Hi, this would be a rare event if its coming from such a new washer. But it is possible as well.
It also could be your laundry basket causing the stains. The rust spot doesn't have to be big as it will bleed causing the stain to become as you said like coin size.
I would not suspect the washer in this case unless you leave the clothing in there for long periods (wet).
Try another laundry basket if you can to narrow this down. If it does turn out to be the machine(which I highly doubt) please let me know ;-)

One more hypothesis: could this be bed bugs? I googled it and the stains look a lot like bed bug stains.

Hi Jean, I have never heard of that causing stains but I checked it out as well and it is possible according to the results on the site.
If you need advice on that problem please let me know.
