I have a Whirlpool washing machine no AWM 5145/6, the dial is sticking, still useable but will probably get worse. Would Whirlpool be able to replace the dial, is it worth doing this with an old machine? Jean XXXXXXX XXXXX

Hi and good morning,
The answer depends on if the washer still works well otherwise.
The older machines are better and the part is easy to replace I will help there as well. Also the control you need isn't too expensive;-)
The best place to get the replacement is Espares.

Thank you. Is it expensive to install a new dial?

Hi Jean almost anyone can do this, if you want to do it you will save about $ 80.00 US.
Also if you have the part, and have an appliance tech do it it still will be cheaper;-)
Please rate at this point I will stick with you until this is fixed.
Its super easy to replace, no soldering, just 1 wiring plug to connect.
Thank you Jean.
