Hotpoint Aquarius Super Silent

Customer Question

Hotpoint Aquarius Super Silent - 1400 spin - WD640G.
We have a small leak at the bottom RHS which does not seem to come from the door seal. I was wandering if there is a filter that has blocked, but I can't find one. Any suggestions? Is there a filter? If so how do I find it.

Hi I am Tech Michael, I am sorry to hear that.
Please be patient as these are technical issues and I want to guide you the best way possible to save you money and time;-)
Can you explain where the water is leaking better.
There is no filter there. But this really sounds like a failed rubber boot seal, it can leak from the inside or the outside.
Does the water seem to come out the from the door edge?
Thank you

No. As I said earlier it seems to come from the bottom right hand side and at the front. The door and washer front are dry

Hi Sylvia,
is it coming from underneath the machine?
And you don't see any water trickling down near the door?
Thank you for your patience as these are technical issues.

Have found the problem myself. So I would request a refund of the £16.00 as you have not solved the problem. Fault was not to do with any seal, or water feed to the machine. Please confirm cancellation of deposit.

Cleaned out the softener additive tray, very clogged. It's on opposite side but leak has stopped!
