I have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher that doesn't appear to have

Customer Question

I have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher that doesn't appear to have power - there's no lights on the panel and no activity when buttons are pressed. It had stopped part way through it's last cycle yesterday as there was water still in the bottom.
I have checked the circuit breaker, the wall socket and the fuse (I put a new fuse in that didn't function, so I put the old one in another device just to check and it still worked).
Please can you help?!!

Hi sorry to hear that,
How old is your dishwasher?
Do you have a meter for testing?
Thank you

About 5 years old I think. Don't have a meter for testing.

Thanks Matt,
Did you check to see if there is power going to the main control board in the door?
If there isn't any there, then you would check the wiring connections under the front kick plate.
If all is good there, then you will need a new main control board. It is easy to replace and I can help.
The best place for that is Espares, I have listed all their contact information below for you.

Eventually got the "kick plate" off the front base of the machine - only to find that there's no wiring behind it.

So I assume you mean the plastic cover around the control panel? I can only get the top part of this free and not far enough to review any wiring or buttons inside. I don't want to force it and break it so can you advise please?

Hi sorry for the delay? What you are looking for is the wire that enters the dishwasher, then follow it to where it connects to the dishwashers plug wires.

But usually I find that this is a rare issue. More than likely the issue is a failed main control board.

Thanks Tech Michael

Hi again Matt, this one is going to be a failed main control board for sure. I will help as mentioned with this repair, but since it failed during the cycle and if you checked the outlet for power then there is your issue;-)
