Hello Daniel

I am having trouble trying to find this model number.


I think it is a Whirlpool AFB 433/G as shown on the shop label.

Looking at the front panel at the top of FREEZER door reading:-


E Fast Freeze button

B Yellow LED Fast freeze function

C Red LED freezer temp too high

D Green LED indicates power is connected to unit

A Thermostat knob.

It would appear NO GREEN LED shows no power to appliance

Substitute RED to YELLOW

Hope this is enough to go on for the moment



Ok thats fine ive got it now.

Usually when the red light comes on its a warning because the temperture in there is rising. So if you feel the compressor on the back is it hot to touch?

It seems to be just warm, and the motor still comes on.

Can I have an LED light gone or blown?

These three lights tend to mingle together making the YELLOW appear RED

Ok if the compressor is just warm then thats good and the temperture is fine in there then i think it may just be the bulbs in there.

As in there its all neon lights so you cannot actually just replace a bulb you need to replace the complete switch unit as it all comes as one box.

So its up to yourself if you want to replace this as just like you say it may be a reflection through the red lens because the green is off making it look like it. As if it wasnt working you would have known by now as it will have started to defrost.

So you can either leave it or replace the switching unit at the top but these can be quite expensive as all whirlpool parts are and given its just an under counter freezer it may not be worth it. Juts see how it goes from there and as its working i think this should be fine.
