Oil pump?

JACUSTOMER-j8rxx4cx- :

I am able to run the boiler by fitting an ordinary light switch between the control box and the photo cell, manually switching to the off position to allow start up then switching to on position once the burner has fired thus holding the fuel line open

Ok . I would check across the flow switch , overheat stats. If these are ok then check the temp stats
