I have a Siemens hob EH 651TE11E. It works well but today

I have a Siemens hob EH 651TE11E.
It works well but today when I turned it on there was a red coloured key.
I kept pressing the on button for five seconds and up came four red flashing E's
Help as I need to use it please

Customer: Bought 2011 but serviced by Siemens nov 14

Thanks for that... please unplug the unit and plug it back...simultaneously press and hold the Power button for few seconds

ok, and have you also tried to press and hold the Key symbol for 15 seconds

Customer: Yes and when I did this the four red flashing E's appeared

Flashing Es can easily be reset by pressing the power buttong however, if it wont then the problem is with the electronics of your appliance

unplug your appliance for 5-7 minutes

then plug it back ... and press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds
