, my fridge freezer (Electrolux model ERL6297KK1) has a light

This answer was rated:

Hi, my fridge freezer (Electrolux model ERL6297KK1) has a light indicating power failure and high temperature of 19 degrees. Naturally all content of the freezer has been destroyed. Can you help?
Hi I am sorry to hear that. How old is your fridge?
Also have there been any power cuts or outages recently that you are aware of in your area?
Thank you

Hi, the appliance is approx 4 or 5 years old. We were on holiday last week so no knowledge of whether there was a power cut.
Thanks Sharon, please check inside the freezer on the rear wall, let me know if there is any heavy frost in there?
Thank you for your patience Sharon.

Hi Michael, it is completely free of frost. Both the fridge and freezer are quite warm! I've tried to reduce the temperature but it doesn't work, it just keeps at the same 19 degrees.
Thanks Sharon I just need to know these things to be sure, its part of the diagnostics we go through to determine the problem.
Please unplug the fridge from the wall power, and wait 10 full minutes, then plug it back in and make sure the thermostat is set normally where you keep it. then let me know if you hear the compressor running. It will be at the bottom of the fridge in the back.
You may hear a fan but the compressor would sound a bit different.
Also let me know if the power failure light is still on when you reconnect it. That is all I will need you to try for now, at that point I will know whats wrong.
Thank you

Hi Michael, no change, just what appears to be the noise of a fan. Power failure light is still on. Thanks, Sharon

Hi, not sure if you received my response but there is no change and the power failure light is still on. I have also noticed some water dripping from the connecting pipe that automatically fills the ice machine.
Thank you Sharon for trying that,
this could be a compressor problem, but since its not very old and with the issue you have with this model, I have serviced many of them and it turns out to be the main control board at the rear on the back of the fridge. This board is expensive but it should fix the unit.
Its easy to replace, no soldering needed. Just a few plug in wiring clips. But this one will come with a slight change in wiring simple to understand. It only requires a few basic hand tools to do but you would save a lot by doing this yourself. I will help you with that no additional cost;-)
The best place to get that would be
Its best to call them for this part. (###) ###-####
