I have a Hotpoint TCUD 97B tumble dryer which even though the tank is empty keeps stopping every two minutes. It beeps three times and then beeps every ten seconds or so.
Do you know what the problem is?
Many thanks
Hi When it stops do you get an F?? error codes coming up?Do the start light stay green or does it flash amber? Regards

No error code, just flashed amber.

I've checked the tank and press start and then it appears ok but stops and beeps again after 2 minutes have passed.

Ok when it stops does it say on the screen empty water bottle?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

yes it does but it is empty

Ok in that case what you need to do is look on the back of the dryer in the bottom right corner you will see a plastic chamber. Make sure the dryer is unplugged from the socket.Use a flat bladed screwdriver and prise the top out from the metal back panel. Then remove the pump chamber from there and now you need to clear the water and the fluff from inside the chamber.Once that's all clear look on the underside of the pump and make sure the impeller isn't blocked or broken off. Once that's all clear refit the pump into the chamber and retry the dryer and see how it goes from there. Fingers crossed that sorts it from there. But if it happens again the next time you use the dryer then its probberly a faulty pump which would need to be replaced to cure this. But try clearing it out first as most of the time this usually cures it from there. If you need anymore info just get back to me. Regards
