We have a Zanussi gas cooker - model no ZCG662GNC - with a temperature issue with the bottom oven. It is consistently too hot. We have bought an oven thermometer and checked the temperatures at all settings from 1-9 and on all 3 shelf levels. At the lowest shelf level the oven temperature is consistently 30-40 degrees Celsius higher than it should be. Is this a thermostat problem or possibly something more complicated?
Hello, my name is George..

Can you give me the PNC or Product number of the appliance please

Kindly be patient whilst awaiting any responses from me as I'm not constantly available.

Hi George - PNC###-##-####02

Looking at the diagrams and the way your appliance operates, I would say Yes, it will be the thermostat..

Would you like a link to the correct thermostat to purchase?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes please (we are in the UK). Would it be fairly simple to fit?

There seems to be something called an 'overheat protection thermostat' - is this the item?

No Peter, that is not what you need...

What you need is this part 3970526012

Thanks George - this is the thermostat for the bottom oven, yes?

Are there any online videos or guidance on fitting?

It is listed as the thermostat for the Main oven

Great. Any online videos or guidance on fitting?

Sorry Peter, the only guidence I'm allowed give you on this one is that the part should be changed by a Gas Safe Engineer only.. The reason is that you must break into the gas supply rail to fit the part.
