Customer Question

I have an AEG Ultrapower Plus cordless vacuum cleaner. When I try to use it the motor whirls for a second, the brush does not turn and a central red light flashes below the battery. If I alter the angle of the cleaning 'foot' I can get the motor to work properly and turn the brush. I believe there is a fault in the wire that runs from the handle to the 'foot'. Apart from removing the screws in the black baseplate of the foot, how do I remove the baseplate to access the wiring please?

I am ready now.

Thanks for the pdf. Unfortunately it doesn't show how to open the 'foot' of the machine. By 'foot' I mean the part that swivels and is pushed across the floor. It contains the roller brush.

I would like to look inside this 'foot' to check the wiring for a loose connection.

I am still not able to do this. Is there another pdf that would provide this information please.

Thanks for your help.

Looking at the other information that I have on the appliance there is no information available on opening the foot.

An acquaintance engineer of mine suggests that once the screws on the underneath are removed, the cover just clips of the top.

I suggest that you can use the connections from the foot/head to the vacuum to check for the readings that you are looking for to determine if the head is in fact defective or not.

You could also do this from the connections of the head to the pcb.

Just in case you wish to try this, I am including a link to another file for you... Again, this will have a 3 minute download time; if you do not manage to download it in time then please let me know.

Did you manage to download the extra files this time?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

No. Can you use some other sort of delivery of PDF or at least allow say 24 hours to download it please. Thanks.
