Good Morning MichaelI do apologise ...... I did send the serial number of the cartridges I have to hand ..... 1 been a later model than the other ,,,,,, unfortunately I am not able to find a serial number on the tap itself or any document as it was installed prior to us purchasing the property ...... I have not removed the cover on the cold water handle as it is really tight and there seems to be 2 small either screws or alum screws holding it in place ,,,,,, but these will not budge either ..... Hence I wanted to get some assistance before damaging the tap itself..... Otherwise it might be a plumber job..... But thought I would attempt to replace it first as I thought I could not be to complicated ..... Found some advice on you tube but not for this particular model of Franke tap.....

Hello Michael
It is a chrome tap and not plastic. I do not believe this problem is going to come to a conclusion in the next 24 hours and we are away for 2 weeks as of tomorrow. I thought we might have been able to resolve the problem in the past 24 hours. I guess 1 more day without cold water in the kitchen is not a life threatening issue and will call a local plumber on our return from holiday. It is just that I thought you might have been able to issue me with the necessary details of how to dismantle this parivukar type of tap and to replace the cartridge and I do understand it is not a standard type of tap as if it were I would have been able to replace the necessary washer. Thank you for your response thus far but I shall no longer require any further assistance.
Thank You!
Kind Regards
Douglas Stoffberg
