We have a Prestige Oven, PR1-D0. The oven is not heating up

Customer Question

We have a Prestige Oven, PR1-D0. The oven is not heating up and the internal light is not working. The fan is working and the flat element at the top of the oven used for grilling is also working. When we switch to oven the flat element switches off the fan comes on but the oven does not heat up nor the light comes on.

Hello Jeff, my name is George..

Can you tell me if the light works on other settings?

Kindly be patient whilst awaiting any responses from me as I'm not constantly available.

I have now changed the bulb. It is the ring element around the fan. You can see were the element is damaged. How do I put a new one in.

Thanks Jeff

I shall assume from what you have said that the bulb is now working.. The reason I asked you about the bulb was to determine what was causing your problem...

Ok.. To change the oven element you need to

1. Turn off the appliance at the mains switch (ensure that there is no power to the appliance)
2. Remove the rear panel inside of the oven
3. Remove the 3 screws that retain the element

4. Remove the rear panel of the appliance to gain access to the wires for the element
4. Gently draw the element towards you so that the wires of the element come through the holes for the element fitting.

5. Change the element and refit in reverse.
