F02 is a motor related fault. Now for this its either the motor itself, the wiring or the main control board at the back.

What you need to do is remove the back panel of the washer and there you will see the motor at the bottom. Check the wiring block going to the motor and make sure theres no broken wires there.

If thats fine then you need a multi meter to test the motor. As on this model they use a 3 phase motor so theres no carbon brushes.
Disconnect the wiring block and you will see 2 red wires on the block and the reset black.
With you meter you need to test the 2 tags the red wires go to and check theres contonuity there.
Then above them 2 tags you will see another 3. Test between all 3 tags and make sure theres contonuity there as well. If there is then the motor is fine.

This leaves the main control board at the back the problem and this will need to be replaced.
Now if you buy this board new its sold blank so needs programming up. Now to buy the kit to do this is more then the washer was new so not worth doing this yourself.
But Hotpoint do a fixed fee repair for £110 all in. So they will call out and replace the control board and program it up with there laptop for that price. And this is actually cheaper then you buying the spares yourself on this.

So check the above if you can and see what you find. As thats what the F02 error code means. If you need anymore info just get back to me.
