We have a Hotpoint slimline, fitted dishwasher, 18 months old

we have a Hotpoint slimline, fitted dishwasher, 18 months old that won't drain. I have cleaned the filters and checked for kinks in the hose then emptied it manually. I tried another wash cycle but once again it has not drained and needed emptying manually. Suggestions please.
Hello My name is Ian ~ I am not on the site constantly so please be patient whilst waiting for responses to you queries - you need to establish if you have a problem with the drain pump. If you start the appliance using any program you should hear the drain pump start to rotate. Once you have checked come back to me and we will take it to the next step.

Hi Ian,
Put it on a short wash, it sounded as if a drainage pump started up before the wash cycle started, but it will be 90 mins before I find out whether it has drained or not.Ed

hi Ian,
Now on the drying cycle but hasn't drained. Suggestions?Ed
Right cancel the program and put some water in the base of the appliance and restart it again, check if the pump has removed all the water from the sump and come back to me.

Didn't need to put water in bottom as already there from not having drained. No pump sounds when I tried wash cycle and no sounds of further filling either
OK from what you have told me you need a new drain pump - have you a mains tester or multimeter that you can use to check that you have power at the pump connections?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
OK well to finalize you have either got a faulty pump (common) or alternatively you have no power going to the pump (less common) In your situation I would buy a cheap multimeter/mains tester from Maplins or similar and check you have power to the pump. If you have then the pump is faulty if not then likely you have a Electronic module fault. Without checking for voltage at the pump this is as far as I can go, if you get a meter I can talk you through checking for power.
