I have an electrolux premier ece freezer, labelled frost free, I cannot see serial number but it must be 5 years old at least. It has stopped working although fan seems to work OK. There is quite a bit of ice in the back and floor and it is possible, though not obvious, that the front door has not been closing properly. Any suggestion, please
Hello My name is Ian ~ I am not on the site constantly so please be patient whilst waiting for responses to you queries ~ first thing you must do is do a manual defrost of the appliance. This means take the food and store it elsewhere and then switching the appliance off leave it for at lease two days with the door open and towels around to catch defrosting water. If as you say the door was left open then the defrost system will have been totally overwhelmed with ice.
