Customer Question

Ive got an error e57 on my bosch Logixx 8. I have changed the door lock as suggested on online forums but the problem is still there. The lock engages ok when I switch on a program but then error e57 appears. The door lock does not disengage even after the leaving it for a period of time. Any suggestions?

Hello My name is Ian ~ I am not on the site constantly so please be patient whilst waiting for responses to you queries - would you give me the full ENr for the appliance, should be on the label inside the door if you can open it

OK I need you to tilt the appliance slightly backwards, then take out the filter and catch any water. Once the water is cleared put the washing machine in to pump out only and tell me if the pump impeller rotates fast?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes, impeller is rotating fast.

When in use was the water being pumped down the drain without problem and when you connected the new (?) door lock are you sure you got the wires on the correct way around?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes, water pumping out without a problem. The cable connector can only fit one way.

Copy and paste the following link in to your browser, then select 'spare parts and diagrams' and go to page 4.
OK can you take the top off for me and look for a pipe that goes down into the drum assembly, its diameter is about 7mm in size and its connected to a pressure switch up at the top item number 0412 on the diagram. Take the pipe off and blow down it to make sure it is clear ? Come back to me after you have checked this.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes, pipe seems to be clear.

would this be easier on the phone?
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 2 years ago.
If you give me a couple of hours yes, in the meantime I need you to check by blowing into the pressure switch that you can hear it click.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I can feel that the diaphragm is moving ok but I don't hear an audible click.
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 2 years ago.
OK I need you to reconnect it all up again, then start a program and tell me if you can (with your finger on the top) feel a click as the washing machine stops filling?

OK give me 15 to clear the desk and I'll call you.

Hi Ian
Sorry about the break in communication, but we lost all phone and broadband for a couple of days due to the weather.
The machine does not start to refill in any program, the pump starts and error e57 comes on straight away. The water is connected and turned on, so there is not a problem with supply.
I have the machine all connected up and the top is removed, so if it is possible for you to give me a call sometime, I think it would be the best way to get to the bottom of this.
Ps. Happy new year.
