My Indesit IWDE 7145K washer /dryer takes in at least

This answer was rated:

Hello-My Indesit IWDE 7145K washer /dryer takes in at least 1 1/2 ltr of water during a 1 hour drying cycle and apart from the extra water/electricity used, the washing comes out just as wet as it went in.
The Indesit engineer says that all is well and the reason is to keep down the steam. Doesn't make sense to me-can you advise please?
Thank you-David

Yes, also I recommend that you check the pressure switch located inside the top right of the appliance
