Ou will find the thermocouples are on their way out, not expensive to buy but hard to fit for an amateur. It should really be fitted by a professional as it is part of the safety device.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Is that what you think is the problem?
Is it worth replacing in 12 year old cooker?
The parts are probably about £15 each but it will take at least an hour to swap each one. It's worth ringing a couple of local engineers and getting prices first.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
And do you know that's the problem without looking at it?
Also roughly what's the hourly rate?
It is the thermocouple that holds the flame on.
A cooker engineer could cost you £60/hr, try a couple of local people first.
