We have had a brand new Frigidaire freezer stored in our garage

we have had a brand new Frigidaire freezer stored in our garage for up to 10yrs.It is still in it's packaging not opened. My question is, will it still be okay to use and do we need to do anything before switching on. Thankyou.
Hi If its still in its packaging then it will be fine. Sometimes machines can get moisture on them but to be honest this wont really happen on a freezer as there isn't much in there. So as long as the freezer has been kept upright and not lie down in the last few hours then you will be fine to just plug it in. But if you have had it lay down for any reason then once you stand it upright leave it for 4 hours roughly to let it settle down as the oil and gas will be mixed up in there. So after a few hours it will be fine to plug in and use it from there.
