42133 creda hob.One of the plastic dial knobs has snapped off.How do you get into the hob to install a new one?
Hi Is it the dial itself that's snapped off or the switch shaft it pushes onto that's broken? Regards
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
It's snapped off. The knob has come away leaving a very short stump behind that I can't get hold of. Part of the shaft is left inside the knob
Ok the switch then will have snapped as well. To remove this what you need to is remove the hob from the work top.For this you need to access the underneath and remove the clamps holding it to the work top which you will see.The remove the 2 screws or nut holding the switch onto the frame. Now make sure the power is off and then turn it upside down. Now you need to remove the 4 bolts on the hob holding each heater down and any screws you see near the mains connection block. Then you can remove the back panel and then you can access the switch from there and swap it over. Regards
