I just came home from holiday to find my freezer open. I've emptied it and thrown the contents away, defrosted the back, washed the drawers and when I put them in they don't seem to go far enough back and the door won't shut. Any thoughts?
Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! Please know that I am not compensated for my time by the site until you rate using the stars at the top of your page. A rating is appreciated once we get to the solution for your appliance issue, thanks! If there are no obstructions behind the drawer, the glides must have trouble. Can you see if they are hanging up or any issue?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, they are all running to the back but it looks like the back of the freezer has moved forward - is this possible?
If you feel the back wall, does it feel cold, like maybe it is all frozen up behind the rear panel?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes, it does
Okay, frost has built up and expanded that rear panel. Open the doors and unplug for 24 hours and it should thaw and go back to its original position. Please let me know if you have additional questions or need clarification. There is no additional charge for any follow up help! Please remember to rate before you leave, using the stars at the top of the page. If you have any other questions, please let me know! You may continue asking follow-up questions until you have all the information you need, even after rating my service. Thank you!

That's great, thanks Kelly - will do. Just before I go - do I need to put towels and things down (just wondering how much water?)
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ooops - and do I need to do the fridge as well - can I leave the door to that closed to keep those things cool?
All doors will need to be opened. There is a pan below the cabinet that will catch the majority of the water but you may want to place towels under the cabinet, just in case.
