I have Hotpoint WML540P_WH Washing machine, bought in 2008. Last week I found two of my brass node (size like large button) were lost in the machine, but not in the bowl. I guess they are in the pre-chamber. I opened the pre-chamber as instructed from the menu. After I opened the lid, there were water come out- this is normal according to the menu.
There is a mash before I can reach the inside of the pre-chamber to clean and search for the nodes dropped from the last wash. I noticed that there are two screws on the surface.
My questions are: 1. do I need to get into the pre-chamber to get the two subjects out?
2. if not, is it alright to use the washing machine?
Thank you in advance, and Kind regards

Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today - the pre chamber I assume you refer to is the pump and filter housing which looks like this - the mesh that you refer to I assume is the filter that looks like this when removed -- just confirm we are speaking about the same thing please.

first question: I cannot see the pump.
second question: yes. Only after taking this out, there is a 'mesh' stopping me to enter the pre- chamber.
Give me about ten minutes whilst I close down some other jobs and I'll give you a call.
