Freezer is working on Zanussis ZRB23200XA but fridge is not, and suggestions?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There is no frost build up in the freezer at all, it's working well. Fridge is room temperature, light works, fridge making noises as normal.

Can you tell me if the fan in the freezer is operating?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it is operating, freezer working normally, no build up at all, fridge freezer only 2 years old, warranty just expired.

Check the compressor at the rear.. is it hot?

Bear with me.

Compressor is hot yes, not too hot to touch but hot.

It is likely that the appliance is short on refrigerant... You'll need to get a refrigeration engineer to call and recharge the system but at the same time seal the system using 'Super Seal'.

This needs to be done before the refrigerant depletes further, else the compressor will then run too hot and possibly then become damaged

OK, will call Zanussi, may I ask how come the freezer still works? Does that not work on the same basis as the fridge section?

Yes, but if the refrigerant is low then it does not reach the full system and the compressor then has to work overtime, hence the reason it gets hot.
