I have a Neff microwave oven, when I press any of the power

This answer was rated:

I have a Neff microwave oven, when I press any of the power settings buttons the light underneath each button flashes. It used to just light up and stay on, then I would press start and it would work. Now nothing happens when I press start. The flashing light is indicating something is wrong. Can it be rectified?

E-Nr H5470WOGB/02
I think it's over 5 years old

Thanks for that info, can you tell if the noise is coming from the bottom or near the top of the machine?

Thank you

I never said there was a noise.

Hi I think there may have been a site issue, I apologize for that.

The problem you are having is the main board.

But try one thing first.

Please either turn off the main for your microwave so there is no power or unplug it if yours isn't wired directly in.

Then please wait 20 minutes. Next you can repower the micro.

Let me know if that helps?

If so great. But if not you will need a new main control board. Its easy to replace if you are handy and have a few basic hand tools. No soldering is required, but a word of warning! Microwave ovens can retain a Lethal voltage even when disconnected from their power supply!!!

There is a capacitor that needs to be discharged first to work on them safely.

I will help you all the way and tell you the best place to order that circuit board from if you still have the problem and feel confident about doing the repair.

In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.
