The rear evaporator tray and overflow on our AEG S63300fdw0

This answer was rated:

The rear evaporator tray and overflow on our AEG S63300fdw0 Santo larder refrigerator are full, and therefore leaking onto the ground. We have partially emptied the tray manually. The fridge is only a few months old.
Assistant: Thank you. Can you provide any more details to help us find you the right Expert?
Customer: its happened twice since we bought it 6 weeks ago, i have emptied it twice already.
Assistant: Brilliant. Thank you. I'll now take you to a secure page to place your deposit with JustAnswer. Once the deposit is received, we'll continue helping you with your question.

Hi I am sorry to hear that.

Please check the door seals all the way around first and let me knwo how they are?

Also is it hot where the fridge is?

And is there any excess frost on the rear wall inside the freezer?

Thank you

The seals are fine, it is not hot, there is no freezer

Hi thanks for that.

The dripping is simply condensation, meaning the unit should be working.

When you say the rear tray? Are you referring to the drip pan near the floor behind the unit or inside the fridge?

Thank you

as in the external evaporation tray

Thank you for that. The water is normal but how is the tem in the fridge?

I need you to let me knwo the temp and the setting you have it set to?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it was set at 4 then we turned it to 5 after the first time it happened

Hi this tray was likely filling for a while, usually the heat from the compressor and heating coils evaporate that water and most times its ok. SOmetimes if the door is open or left open even a crack it will fill the tray.

That is really the only reason this would happen.

I think it will be ok, just keep an eye on that tray and if the seals are sealing as they should, then make sure the door is always closed fully;-)

In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.
