I have a SiemensFridge 9000 040 050 (8703).
The door hinges are sound but the bottom of the fridge door, which sits on the bottom hinge, bracket has cracked so the the door has dropped. It still closes but does not give a good seal at the bottom.
Any thoughts? Is it possible to buy a send hand door?

Hi Andy,

Your going to struggle to find a replacement door for your fridge, you could try and see if you can repair the door by using epoxy and a G clamp to keep the crack together, however this is an area which holds alot of stress so its unlikely to last very long.

I am struggling to look up your model, can you please confirm the number provided is the E-Nr (E Number)?

Unfortunately this sounds like an uneconomical repair to me.

JamesThe ref. Is the only one I can find. Where would I find an E number?Andy

There should be a plate\sticker inside of the fridge normally to one side or other of the salad crisper, you might find the website here may help you it, as it shows you diagrams of where they put them.

James - can I send you a couple of photos please? Andy

Yes there should be an option to attach images next to where you key in your response.

Here are a couple of pics. I have placed the washer in that position. The door does not properly seal at the bottom - hence water droplets accumulating on the underside of the glass shelves./Users/AndyEvans/Documents/IMG_2413.JPG

Unfortunately the images havent come across.

If your having issues you could use this website here to upload them, then copy and paste the link into this text box.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Andy, ive managed to get the pictures but they are a little fuzzy when you zoom in.

The E-Number is ***** one starting KS3, at the top right of the image.

Looking at the second image showing the hinge, there isnt any real solution to this, the best way I would suggest a repair if your keen on keeping it, would be to fix a new mounting for the hinge inside the door, using something like hard wood, then bolt it in place, this wouldnt be visually pleasing, nor likely to last more than a year, as the doors arent very solid, and due to the damaged bottom hinge the top hinge has probably been weakened.

In terms of acquiring a second hand door, I have had a look and certain in the south east I couldnt find any fridges of the same model going cheap to make it effective to swap the door out.

For this reason its looking like this is beyond economical repair.
