i have a baumatic washer dryer and it isnt taking in the fabric softener. ive taken the drawer out and cleaned it all amd weve cleaned the jets where the water comes out, but its still not working. when it co es to the point on the cycle where it takes the softener, its tryi g to take it from the soap compartment rather than the middle one for the softener.
any ideas?

Do you have the model number please.

Also does the water gussh into the drawer or trickle?

model no. bwdi1206.
the water gushes into the drawer, not just a trickle.have tried just a rinse cycle and the water gushes into the soap compartment

Ok for the softnesection how this works is it brings the wash and the rinse valves on at the same time and the force of the water hitting each other causes the water to go into the softner section of the drawer.

So when yo get this fault were it isnt taking the softner then its either a blocked dispenser roof or one of the water valves is faulty.

The first thing to do is remove the drawer and look inside the dispenser above the softner section and you will see the holes in the dispenser.

Get some strimmer wire and push it into the hole and as far back as you can as this will clean the water channels in the dispener roof. So then retry it and see how it goes from there.

If still the same then you need to pull the washer out and remove the top.

At the back you will see the coils on the water valve. You need a multi meter to test these so check for resistance. It should be around 3.6Kohms.

If the coils are fine then you need to remove the dispenser unit and remove the top part as it comes as 2 pieces. From there you need to clean the dispener under a tap as the force of the water will clear it out from there.

Then retry it and see how it goes as for this fault its either the dispenser blocked or a faulty water inlet valve that causes it not to take softner.
