Customer Question

T43t 20 no/01 Was working but switch off itself, and will not switch back on. Mains supply has not tripped. Has the fact that too many dish cloths were in the draw beneath caused an over heat? If so how do I energise the hob?

Hi the answer to your question is no, that vent below will not cause the stove to overheat.

In this case I will need your stove Full model #?

Can you please try one thing for me as a test?

Please turn off power tot your HOB at the mains for 30 full minutes.

Then you can turn it back on. Please let me knwo if this has any effect?

There are no fuses inside this unit, but we will get to that when you try this.

Thank you

Power to the Hob has been off via a double pole switch for 30mins and it has not made any difference,
I have checked the supply to both sides of the pole switch and that is OK.

Thanks for that Bob,

Yes that confirms a bad main control board. Its easy to replace, no soldering required, just plugs in but there are a few connectors so I would take a pic or two before removing the wire clips so you know exactly where they go on the new board ;-)

The best place to get a new main control bard is:

I would definitely CALL them to order this board, they will ship it out today in most cases, and also they will make sure you get the correct one the first time;-)
