Hotpoint washing machine WMBF 742 wont spin unless empty,

This answer was rated:

hotpoint washing machine WMBF 742 wont spin unless empty, unbalanced, it seems the drum is too loose, machine is level?

When you pin the drum whilst empty, does it spin normally?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it spins for about 3 seconds then stops, then repeats that 2 more times, then a pause then it does it again.

Is the spin really fast?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no, its fairly slow, like a balancing spin, but then it never goes into the full spin

its a brand new machine, i've just moved into rented place and it was just installed before I moved in. After 2 different loads, it came up with F02 and F05 error codes but cleared after turning off and on. The drain pipe is not blocked. water pressure fine etc.

So it is like a tumble rather than a spin?

Is the machine empty of water?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
empty of water, although when clothes inside they are dripping wet

If the appliance is filled with water, does it drain away?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it does drain, I have seen the water coming out of the outlet pipe

F02 is a fault of the tacho on the motor, f05 is a fault in the pressure switch... Both are controlled by the PCB... Could be a PCB fault.

If it is new.. call them out or send it back.
