Food seems to cook/burn at back of shelf. Been told there should be a cover over the flames. Is this correct and if so where to get one. Thanks

There should be an oven burner trim, but it only stick up about an inch

Has it always done this?

Thanks for your reply. I rent out the house now. But from memory, when we lived there the oven flames just burnt at back no cover to deflect the flames.

Not to deflect but to protect - it sits in front of the flames.

If it is burning at the back then it could be a problem with the thermostat, please check that the flames return to low when fully heated and the temperature is reached.

No problem with flames going to low when temperature is reached. I will look to see if trim is in place. If not where is best place to get, that's if still available due to age.

It will have to come direct from Rangemaster spares department.

Check the picture to see if it is fitted
